Working with Links and Connectors

Links are bi-directional connections between items in your library. They are created through the content of your docs and boards and are global, meaning they connect docs across your entire library.

Backinks are links that originate from other docs.

2. What are Connectors?

Connectors are visual lines that link items on a board. You can draw them using the connector tool in the board's toolbar. Connectors are local, meaning they only exist on the specific board where they're created.

Links are logical connections between different docs and boards. The links are created by linking or embedding docs and boards in your content, and the links connect document across your entire library.

Connectors are lines or arrows that are drawn on your board. The connectors are local to your boards, and do not impact the contents of the docs.

Connectors can also be drawn as standalone arrows on your board. They don't need to connect to anything else.

4. How do I create a linked Doc?

When editing a doc, you can create a link by typing '+', followed by the name of the new doc.

To link an existing doc, you can use the same method (typing '+') to search your library. Picking a doc from the dropdown list will create a link to that document.

When edited in a doc window, the links can be found at the bottom of the doc, where the link section is.

On a board, you can use the "Toggle Links Section" button to either show or hide the links of a doc.

You can also select a doc on a board and use the Links window in the top right corner to see the links, backlinks and boards of a doc.

Links can be deleted by deleting the text that links docs from within the doc. Simply select the link and use backspace to delete it.
